The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1:5

Come expecting a time of worship and fellowship, anticipating a message from God. Expect to be greeted by friendly people who sincerely care about you. Expect to praise and worship the Lord in a blended service with both hymns and praise music and expect to hear a message from God's Word

that is relevant to you. We hope you feel welcomed.

Lighthouse is a family of Believers in Jesus Christ whose desire is to become more and more like Jesus (2 Cor. 3:18).

We believe Jesus Christ changes lives and brings hope to the hopeless through faith in the power of His redeeming blood by the presence and work of God’s Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:7; John 6:28-29; Gal. 5:22).

We come together just as we are expecting to meet God and progressively be changed by His Holy Spirit through experiencing His love for us and our love for Him and each other (John 13:34).

We are strengthened spiritually through worship, prayer, communion and the preaching of God’s Word (John 6:53-58; Rom. 10:17). We desire to see individuals, marriages and families in our community and around the world strengthened through Biblical principles by the power of the Holy Spirit (John 14:15-17).

The Lighthouse Church Food Pantry was first opened in Oct of 2009 as a way of providing groceries to our neighbors and church family in need.

Over the years we have seen the numbers grow to around 45 families each month. This is usually over 100 people. There are always new families as well as regulars. We feel so blessed that through the generous support of our church members and people of our community we are able to put food on the tables of people trying to get by, especially in these trying times.

The bags we distribute vary each month, depending on contributions we receive, but are geared to supplement healthy family meals. There are typically canned goods, cereal, potatoes, bread, pasta, soups, sauces and canned fruit. Normal value is estimated at $25 per bag,

We have also been supported through funds and food drives by several of the Lighthouse ministries, and we hope that continues. Our wish is for each ministry to contract us and adopt a month.

We want to take this opportunity on behalf of the recipients to thank everyone who has any involvement in the food pantry, whether it is donating food, money, or supplies, helping to staff the pantry, helping to build the pantry, making signs, or through prayer.

As always, nothing happens without God's support.

The hours for the pantry are 9:30am to noon, on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

Lighthouse Christian has a leadership that believes all of God's Word is for all people today. This body of believers operates as a family who, though at different stages in their Christian walk, are nevertheless equally a part of the family of God. The Lord Jesus has purchased the redeemed with His own blood, and He is the leader of His flock; therefore, as His sheep, we are to protect, nurture, and build each other up by using all means with which He has enriched us.
